Both tone and mood greatly influence how the poem effects the reader. 
 The tone tells the reader how author or narrator of the poem feels. 
 The mood refers to the atomism here that the poem creates, the emotional effect it has on the reader.
 
 Often, the tone of the poem will put the reader in a certain mood.
