Basically you find the data points and fill in the values. For Point J it is (2,4). They want you to do this: (2-4,4-6)...it then becomes (-2,-2).
So
J: (-2,-2)
K: (-1, -4)
I: (-2, -5)
Those are your new points. I hope this helps love! :)

What is the rate of heat transfer required to melt 1-ton of ice at 32 F in 24 hours?
LiRa [457]

Answer:

3865.74 J/s

Step-by-step explanation:

mass of ice, m = 1 ton = 1000 kg

time , t = 24 hours

latent heat of fusion of ice, L  = 334000 J/kg

Heat required to melt, H = m x L

where, m is the mass of ice and L be the latent heat of fusion

So, H = 1000 x 334000 = 334 xx 10^6 J

Rate of heat transfer = heat / time = \frac{334\times 10^{6}}{86400}

Rate of heat transfer = 3865.74 J/s

thus, the rate of heat transfer is 3865.74 J/s.

Complete Question

The complete question is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

6a

    V(3) = 113.112

6b

     V(\frac{3}{2}) = 14.139

6c

   V(2r) = 33.514r^3

7a

  h(5) = 0

7b

    h(t) = -5.76

7c

h(x+5) = x(x+5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Considering the question 6

The function given is V(r) = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3

For  V(3) we have

        V(3) = \frac{4}{3} \pi 3^3

       V(3) = \frac{4}{3} * 3.142 * 3^3

       V(3) = 113.112

For  V(\frac{3}{2})

        V(\frac{3}{2}) = \frac{4}{3} * \pi * (\frac{3}{2})^3

        V(\frac{3}{2}) = \frac{4}{3} * 3.142 * (\frac{3}{2})^3

        V(\frac{3}{2}) = 14.139

For   V(2r)

            V(2r) = \frac{4}{3} \pi (2r)^3

           V(2r) = \frac{4}{3} * 3.142*8r^3

           V(2r) = 33.514r^3

Considering the question 7

     The function given is  h(t) = t^2 - 5t

For  h(5)

          h(5) = 5^2 - 5(5)

           h(5) = 0

For  h(1.8)

            h(t) = 1.8^2 - 5(1.8)

            h(t) = -5.76

For  h(x+ 5)

              h(x+5) = (x+5)^2 - 5(x+5)

               h(x+5) = x^2 + 25+10x-5x-25

             h(x+5) = x(x+5)

Can somebody explain solving intergers for me? I am so confused about it
bekas [8.4K]

Step-by-step explanation:

An integer (pronounced IN-tuh-jer) is a whole number (not a fractional number) that can be positive, negative, or zero. Examples of integers are: -5, 1, 5, 8, 97, and 3,043. Examples of numbers that are not integers are: -1.43, 1 3/4, 3.14, . 09, and 5,643.1.

Multiplication and Division of Integers. RULE 1: The product of a positive integer and a negative integer is negative. RULE 2: The product of two positive integers is positive. RULE 3: The product of two negative integers is positive.
