What role does advertising play in the lives of youth

English

Advertising create an unrealistic world for most youth. For girls its all of the photoshopped bodies and perfect teeth and heavy makeup. For boys it about all the trucks, car and sports that they'll be forced to play someday. Also for young women sports or engineering toys aren't very apparent in any advertisements which leads them to believe that they can't build, or play sports or throw a ball around.

Advertising creates a sense of perfection that young girls strive to be but cannot succeed. With perfectly straight teeth and photo-shopped bodies and heavy make up. It pressures young boys in to playing sports they may not even want to play, buy the biggest baddest truck. It is false reality.

What are the settings in the Shakespeare Stealer? Can anybody come up with as much as they can?
murzikaleks [220]

The Shakespeare Stealer is a 1998 historical fiction novel by Gary Blackwood. Taking place in the Elizabethan-era England, it recounts the story of Widge, an orphan whose master sends him to steal Hamlet from The Lord Chamberlain's Men. If we skip the opening setting of Mistress MacGregor's orphanage, then the three settings of The Shakespeare Stealer are the rectory in "the nearby hamlet of Berwick"; the home of Mrs. and Dr. Timothy Bright, a medical practitioner who had studied at Cambridge and who was also the rector of Berwick; Simon Bass's home in Leicester; and the city on the Thames, London City, home of the Globe Theatre.

Which word might be used to describe how a very cautious mouse walks past a sleeping cat in a cartoon?
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Warily

Explanation:

A very cautious mouse would warily walk past a sleeping cat. When someone is wary, they are cautious, careful.

To maneuver means to move skilfully or carefully, but it would not be used in the context of a mouse. For example, you could maneuver while driving a car.

The remaining two words have completely different meanings. Matronly means of, relating to, or having the characteristics of a matron (usually a mature and dignified married woman who has an established social position).

Odious means extremely unpleasant.

HELP ME, ASAP, PLEASE.
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

D. I let a nervous and shaking breath out of my lungs, and with one pointer finger, pressed the doorbell with the light in it. I heard the two notes of the “ding-dong,” and a dog began to bark very fast, loudly, and in a high-pitched manner.
