What role does advertising play in the lives of youth

English
2 answers:
Helga [31]4 years ago

Advertising create an unrealistic world for most youth. For girls its all of the photoshopped bodies and perfect teeth and heavy makeup. For boys it about all the trucks, car and sports that they'll be forced to play someday. Also for young women sports or engineering toys aren't very apparent in any advertisements which leads them to believe that they can't build, or play sports or throw a ball around.

Advertising creates a sense of perfection that young girls strive to be but cannot succeed. With perfectly straight teeth and photo-shopped bodies and heavy make up. It pressures young boys in to playing sports they may not even want to play, buy the biggest baddest truck. It is false reality.

Which prediction for the speed of sound in air at 60°C is best supported by
Furkat [3]

speed of sound (m/s) = 331.5 + 0.60 T(°C) For example, the speed of sound in air is 386 m/s at 100 °C. The sound of speed in air is increased by 0.60 m/s for each increase of degree in air temperature. The speed of sound is faster at higher temperatures because molecules collide more often.

What does Nick mean when he says, “...the holocaust was complete?”
Leno4ka [110]

Nick was referring to the discovery of George's body. Holocaust is defined as a slaughter...... Myrtle, Gatsby, and Tom had each lost their lives for nothing....... they were the sacrifice of those who didn't care for anything or anyone beyond themselves.

Hope this helps!

How did the actions Ellington took early in his life impact his future success?
Troyanec [42]
He divided his studies between music and commercial art, and by 1918 established a reputation as a bandleader and agent. In 1923 he went to New York City and soon became a successful bandleader. In 1927 he secured an important engagement at the Cotton Club in Harlem, a section of New York City, and remained there (aside from occasional tours) until 1932.Ellington's band made its first European trip in 1932. After World War II (1939–45), the band toured Europe regularly, with short trips to South America, the Far East, and Australia. One peak period for the band was from 1939 to 1942, when many critics considered its performances
