Let's say the dog jumps 100 feet every jump, (Yes, I know that it's illogical, but it makes this problem so much easier.) and that it jumps 1 time every second.
100 · 1 = 100, so Dog goes at 100 feet per second.

Cat jumps 5% shorter, so it is 95 feet per jump. However, it jumps 5% more than dog, so it jumps 1.05 times every second. You multiply.
95 · 1.05 = 99.75. So Cat goes at 99.75 feet per second.

100 > 99.75

Dog is going to win the race.

Mrs. Barkley is making a snack mix out of different flavors of pretzels and chips. The weight of each snack package she used to
AlekseyPX

Answer:

20 ounces

Step-by-step explanation:

The line plot is attached below.

From the line plot, we can see that there is a total of 7 snack mix. Two of the snack mix weigh 1 and half (1.5) ounces each, one snack measure 2 and three quarter (2.75) ounce, three snack mix measure three and half (3.5) ounce each and one snack measure 3 and three quarter (3.75) ounce. Therefore the total weight of the snack mix is:

Total weight = (2 * 1.5) + (1 * 2.75) + (3 * 3.5) + (1 * 3.75)

Total weight = 20 ounces

the length of a rectangle is 4/5 feet the width is 5/8 feet how much greater is the length of a rectangle than the width
Eva8 [605]
4/5(8)= 32/40
5/8(5)= 25/40
You have to get the same denominator to be able to subtract so multiply one fractions denominator by the other so it becomes the same, and vise versa.
32/40-25/40= 7/40 which cannot be simplified.
Answer= 7/40 greater than the width.

Find the value of 'a' if 2^2a×2^2a=128
masya89 [10]
128=2⁷
2^2a x 2^2a=2⁷
2^(2a+2a)=2⁷
2^4a=2⁷

Therefore:
4a=7
a=7/4
a=1.75

Answer: a=1.75

To check
2²⁽⁷/⁴⁾ * 2²⁽⁷/⁴⁾ =2⁷/² * 2⁷/²=2¹⁴/²=2⁷=128
