The economy of New England sky-rocketed as it was located in such an area geographically where the environment was ideal for water machinery mills and that helped them to get into business of woven clothes. The southern colonies were rich with fertile lands and crops were grown there whereas mid Atlantic environment was more suitable to grow grain and livestock.
