Identify the causes of the rise of the Populist Party and the effects the party had.
Elodia [21]
The Populist Party or the People’s Party started in the 1890s. It started after the Civil War when the United States was rapidly shifting from an agrarian to an industrial economy. Farmers were facing challenges in selling their crops on a global market, gaining access to affordable credit, and dealing with huge debts. Farmers in the South and the West gathered and created a party to address these problems. It was done to challenge the status quo and to make the situation of rural families better.

Given the actual challenges faced by the electoral
mestny [16]

Answer:

The electoral system allows for the equal representation of all states with the population of the state taken into consideration.

Explanation:

The electoral system today is a winner-takes-all system in which the candidate who was voted as the majority takes all the electoral votes from that particular state.

States with a greater population will have greater number of electoral votes, which make the stakes for those key states higher.

But this system allows for politicians to divert their attention to the smaller-populated states and ensure that their voices are heard, not just big states like California.
