how did the end of war and V-J Day change working conditions in the U.S.? What did it mean for women in particular?
Marina86 [1]

The correct answer is:

The victory for the Allies in the second World War II and the V-J, of Victory over Japan on August 14, 1945, changed the working conditions in the United States, especially for women.

World War II allowed many women to get job opportunities like never before. One industry where women started to work was in the military. The transition from home to work was not an easy one for women, basically for two factors. The first one, the challenges to be accepted in the workforce mostly dominated by men. The second one, the lack of childcare during working hours. Nevertheless, after the War, many women were fired. More than sixty percent of hired women were fired to give men the former jobs they had before the war. But women kept on working outside the home, slowly, they were gaining job spaces after the war.

Which African country's government sponsors death squads known as the the Janjawid, who kill and terrorie farmers in Darfur?
skad [1K]
The government of Sudan has been associated with sponsoring Janjaweed, an Arab militia that has been spreading terror especially in the Darfur region. The Janjaweed has its origins in the long-running civil war that gripped one of Sudan's neighbors, Chad in 1980. The Sudanese government gave arms and ammunition to Arab - speaking Abbala nomads and enlisted them to act as an armed deterrent against Chadian incursions into Sudan during that time. This group together with another tribe from Chad's border later joined to form the basis of the Janjaweed
