1.  If Sam runs 2 miles in 1/3 of an hour, he runs 6 miles in an hour, so in 4/5 of an hour he runs 24/5 miles, or 4.8 miles.  E is the correct answer.

5.  The corduroy suit now costs (100)(1-.05)=95 dollars, and the wool suit costs (300)(100+.1)=330 dollars.  The sum is thus 425 dollars.  D is the correct answer.
