It's early languages were Sinitic (Chinese), Tibitec, Karnic, Bodo-Garo, Kuki-Chin, Meitei, Tamangic, Bai, Jingpho-Luish, and Lolo-Burmese, but has 400+ languages/major dialects being used modernly.
