The 1st sentence is incorrect because sings is present and danced is past

The 2nd sentence is in correct due to verb tense.  will sing is future and dance is present

The third sentence is correct because sang and danced are both past tense

"the price for an item is too high" - not a noun phrase. Actually, this is a clause, as it has a predicate of its own.
"a bottle of water while strolling" - not a noun phrase. "A bottle of water" would be a noun phrase (a phrase that has a noun as a headword), but "while strolling" is an adverbial phrase that describes the verb "buy".
"The same brand of bottled water" - noun phrase. The headword is "brand", and all the other words cling to it and provide additional explanation.
"a pair of athletic shoes" - noun phrase. The headword is "pair".

a brief essay explaining this statement: ""The Beatles"" were once a monopolistically competitive firm that became a monopolist.
Anettt [7]

Answer:

Find the explanation below.

Explanation:

A monopolistically competitive firm is one that is in competition with many other firms selling identical but not the same products. A monopolist is a business entity that has dominated the market and is in control of a particular product in the market.

So, the above statement means that "The Beatles," were once in competition with other firms selling products that were similar to theirs. Now, however, "The Beatles" are the only suppliers of the product they sell and are in control of that particular market.

Excitement between the two groups have risen after the election.<br> is this correct
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

The subject-verb agreement is wrong. The correct sentence would be:

- Excitement between the two groups has risen after the election.

Explanation:

<u>If we ask the verb a simple question, we can find the subject: "What has risen after the election? Excitement between the two groups." Even though the answer is long, the simple subject itself is comprised of just one singular word: "excitement". This is the most important word, the one to which the verb refers. We can even remove the words that come after it, and the effect or meaning will be the same: "Excitement has risen after the election."</u>

The problem with "Excitement between the two groups have risen after the election" is that "have" is agreeing with "groups". However, as seen above, "groups" is not the most important word in the subject. Therefore, the verb should not agree with it.
