In King Arthur what happened to the knights who went in search of the Holy Grail was that one of them died, while the other two returned home.
definitely D, the other choices are probably much more biased whereas you can get a feel for the most likely rough tale of events
I don't really know which one would be the best but if i did have to guess i would say C.
