The answer that most appropriately completes the line of thought is 1. I also served. It parallels the sentiment of the first half of the sentence perfectly. However, if the answers could be disregarded, it would have been better to remove the “also” in all of them because it is rather redundant with the “too” already located at the end of the sentence.
