Why do hevier objects fall more slowly than lighter objects
Delicious77 [7]

Actually, heavier objects fall faster. The difference is infinitesimal, but there is a tiny difference because more mass causes objects to fall faster (e.g. objects fall faster on earth than on the moon). On earth, the different rate of fall between heavier and lighter objects is negligible (because objects are tiny compared to the earth's mass), so objects of different weights fall at virtually the same rate. But not at exactly the same rate. Objects of different weights must accelerate at different rates because accel.

Explain how scientists use geological time to determine the age of LANDFORMS.
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer: To determine the relative age of different rocks, geologists start with the assumption that unless something has happened, in a sequence of sedimentary rock layers, the newer rock layers will be on top of older ones. This is called the Rule of Superposition. ... With absolute age dating, you get a real age in actual years.

Explanation: Hope this helps :)
