You need D) a thesis statement, topic sentence, support, and a concluding sentence

a) support is the correct option.

A paragraph has a topic sentence and this is followed by information that supports it. This can have examples, definitions, comparisons or facts.

These options are wrong:

b)support and a concluding sentence. This organization suits the last paragraph of an argumentative essay because there is a conclusion.

c)concluding sentence. This cannot follow a topic sentence because the paragraph would be incomplete. There should be some support between the topic and the concluding sentences.

d)a thesis statement, topic sentence, support, and a concluding sentence. These are the steps of a whole essay , not of a paragraph.

nfer what the narrator means by “her casual whim.” What can you infer about the direction of Dexter’s future from the narrator’s
Amanda [17]

Answer:

The narrator emphasized the phrase "by her casual whim" because it shows how Judy could let Dexter do anything for her.

So, this shows what will happen to Dexter's future that Judy could just let him do what she wanted, especially that Judy asked him to attend the dinner the following day.

Explanation:

The question above is related to the story entitled "Winter Dreams," which was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Before mentioning the phrase "by her casual whim," Judy and Dexter met again. This time, Judy asked Dexter whether he could drive the motorboat so she could surf while being driven behind it. As Judy demanded him to go faster, Dexter obediently did as he was told. This shows how Dexter fell for Judy and that he could just ask him whatever she wanted.

Direct object.
The direct object receives the action of a verb in a sentence.
The indirect object represents to whom or for whom something is said.
Ex: Sandra gave the book to Tom.
Sandra is receiving the action: she gives the book
Tom is the one getting the object

7. Do you have any reservations about taking this course? Explain. How can I help?
MrMuchimi

Reservations in this context could mean doubts, such as 'My mom had reservations about going out to shop."

This means that their mom was not sure if she wanted to go shopping or not because she has reasons not to.
