What inspired the Founding Fathers to write the Declaration of Independence?

They chose to create the declaration of independence because the English were being oppressive toward the new colonies. Since they didn't like it the created the document to break free of the English to be able to fight them. Even though there was already bloodshed they wanted to end that.

The current Republican administration and the Republican-controlled Congress seem to support less government expenditure. Spokesman Ryan, as a rule, has shown a bias for fiscal discipline. It is also clear from the income cap that the state will get less revenue and that its expenditure and capacity to act will be lowered. Recent occurrences in Puerto Rico and the absence of complete assistance for the island represent less public action. <u>I think that this pattern will persist at least until the next Congressional elections.</u>
