♡ Answer ♡

ir

♡ Step-by-step explanation ♡

A/N (Author's Note): To make it easier to see and understand, the Spanish vocabulary and translated words of this problem will be written in italics. This will make the text look slanted in the same way as this note. The only text that follows this rule that will not be italicized is the list. (Sentences and words with an arrow head (or play button if you will) before them are part of the list.) Other than that, this explanation should be a breeze to comprehend. I hope this helps those reading it! Have a stellar day!

In this question, the sentence reads Mi familia prefiere________ de viaje a Cuba. In order to figure out this sentence, we must translate this problem and use the word that makes sense in the problem's context.

When you translate this question's sentence to English, you get My family prefers to ________ a trip to Cuba . The word bank at the very end of the problem stands for the answer choices. These options translate from ir to go, organizar to organize, poder to power, and comer to eat.

The sentences below are the versions of the translated Spanish sentence with every one of the translated version(s) of the words from the word bank. Each word in parentheses is a Spanish version of the previous word.

‣ My family prefers to go (ir) to a trip to Cuba .

‣ My family prefers to organize (organizar) a trip to Cuba .

‣ My family prefers to power (poder) a trip to Cuba .

‣ My family prefers to eat (comer) a trip to Cuba .

When comparing these answers, several of them make sense. However, only one of them seems legitimately accurate (in comparison to majority of the population).

First off, we can easily eliminate comer since you can't eat a trip to Cuba. Although the rest of the answers do make logical sense, only one of these answers applies to most people. The greater amount of society would rather to go to a trip to Cuba. Not many would prefer to organize or power a trip to Cuba (or a trip at all for that matter). Out of all the answer choices, ir is the only one that provides a logical answer to the question that majority of people can agree with.

In this sense, it is easy to conclude that the answer to the problem is ir.
