First substitute y = x - 1 in  y = 3x + 3 , so

3x + 3 = x - 1

2x = -4

x = -2

Now substitute for x in the first equation:-

y =3(-2) + 3 = -6 + 3

y = -3 


Answer is  (-2, -3)
