First because it's a broken line we know it's an inequality.

next we find the slope we can take points (0,4) and (2,0) thus (y2-y1)÷(x2-x1)

substituting any value of x for either x1 or x2 and any value of y for y1 and y2 we can get

slope is -2

so now we can take either points to find the equation by the formula

y-yo=m (x-xo) where m is slope

after substitution we can get

y-4=-2 (x-0)

y=-2x+4

Pavel [41]
See the picture to better understand the problem

we know that
in the triangle ABC
∠A+∠B+∠C=180°
find ∠C
∠C=180-[80+65]------> ∠C=35°

Applying the law of sines

AB/sin C=CB/sin A
solve for CB
CB=AB*sin A/sin C-----> CB=45*sin 65/sin 35-----> CB=71.10 ft

the answer is
the distance from person B to the top of the hill is 71.10 feet

Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

37.7 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

2×3.14×r=30.77

Divide both sides by 2

3.14×r=15.385

Divide both sides by 3.14

r≈4.9

3.14×r²

3.14×4.9²=

24.01×3.14≈

75.4

75.4÷2=

37.7
