The Patriarchs like Abraham, and Jacob, Isaac, Moses and other figures are often interpreted as prototypes of the Christ. Therefore the Jewish rituals that are described in the Old Testament are seen as figures for the coming of Christ and his teachings.

The claims of Jesus often evoke the prophets, as he declares that he is the confirmation of the Law that was given to Moses, and the justice, he identifies with all of his predecessors in that all are a shadow of the Kingdom that he preaches has come to earth.

There could be no Christianity without Jewish religion, as it is a faith that spreads to all peoples and completes a cycle in the history of mankind.
