  • Weather of our planet Earth is largely driven by the oceans. They act as heat retaining solar panels.
  • They absorb majority of the radiation emitted from the sun. Land areas  absorb heat, the climate on earth helps to retain or radiate into the space after sunset.
  • Ocean currents are "movements of water in a continuous flow" triggered by temperature, earth’s rotation, surface winds.
  • They send warm water from the equator pointing towards the poles and "cold water from the poles" back to the tropic areas.

The changing ocean currents lead to climate cooling by bringing cooler breezes to places with higher climates. The cool breezes push the warm air out and leads to the drop of temperature
