I think its the third one
 y+2=-(x-4)

Its because the - represents -1 which is the slope of the graph. And the number inside of the x parentheses usually switches signs so it would be 4, which is a point on the graph. Then I think it would be +2 because when subtracted to the other side of the equation it would become -2 which is a point on the graph that corresponds to x=4.

I may be incorrect, you can check my reasoning to see if I make any sense xD

Hope this helps, good luck! :D

3. A local pizza restaurant has two options for birthday parties; the Premium Plan and the
Nitella [24]

Answer:

Most likely C .

Step-by-step explanation:

The premium plan charges 20 dollars per cake. (+ 20) and $5 per child (5x) for pizza.

The premium plan would represent: 5x + 20

The basic plan would charge $6  per child for pizza.

This would be: 6x

In a equation when the cost of the premium plan is the same as the basic plan, 20 + 5x = 6x would be the best for modeling.

The shorter leg of a right triangle is 21 feet less than the other leg. Find the length of the two legs if the hypotenuse is 39
mina [271]

Answer:

leg 1= 36  feet

leg2 = 15  feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, we have to apply the Pythagorean Theorem:

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

Where c is the hypotenuse of the triangle (in this case the distance between Doreen’s house and the tower) and a and b are the other legs.

leg1 = x

leg2 = x-21 (21 feet less than the other leg)

Replacing with the values given:

39^2 = x^2 + (x-21)^2

1,521 = x^2 + x^2 -42x +441

0 = 2x^2 -42x +441-1,521

0= 2x^2 -42x -1,080

For: ax2+ bx + c

x =[ -b ± √b²-4ac] /2a  (quadratic formula)

Replacing with the values given:

x=-(-42)± √(-42)²-4(2)-1080] /2(2)

x= 42± √10,404] /4

x = 42± 102 /4

Positive:

x = 42+102 /4 = 36

leg 1= 36

leg2 = 36-21 =15

Carpenter Chalberg is building a new wall in his house. The wall is 8 feet long and 8 feet tall. The wall will be framed with wo
klemol [59]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  9

Step-by-step explanation:

For studs 16" O.C., Chalberg will need 9: one at the beginning of each of the 16" spaces in the 96" width of the wall, and one at the end. That's a total of 6+1 = 7 studs.

The top and bottom edges of the wall are each 8', so will require 1 more board each.

The total number of boards Chalberg needs is 9.
