Rand Paul's speech about libertarianism is amazingly unexpected. He starts talking about a world with little to no government and he makes you go from finding the idea crazy to thinking that the best thing that we can do to improve our society is to get rid of the government for good.

Rand talks about the Non-Aggression Principe, which guides all the libertarian ideology. Which can be summed up as "do whatever you want, just don't hurt someone else's body, freedom or belongings". Free until you hurt someone else's freedom. It is an easy way of understanding who is right or wrong in almost every conflict that might come up in a society. This is a powerful message, since it reveals that the government tells us what to do with our lives and what we are allowed or not allowed to do with our own bodies.

He also talks about how even though people would be free to do the craziest things that they could think of, they would be guided by their own morals or virtue. For example, it would be very unlikely to see a conservative to suddenly turn to prostitution and drug abuse just because it is illegal if he comes from a community with strong values that contradict that behavior.

Answer:

Students should not get homework because they have to have more free time and students already get enough knowledge at school, and some students even get yelled at home by their parents for not doing their homework on time, and sometimes when a kid wants to go to the movies or to the park or if he is moving or has a flight somewhere it takes quite a long time so he needs to rest after school, and sometimes homework take a whole day to do. But homework lets you practice although the practice might not help at all. I've been a student for 6 years and I know how hard is it and how much time it takes to do homework. think about the students that were doing all the homework but they could've gone to the movies, chat with their family, and just have fun.

What is the argument made by this piece?: The argument is that students shouldn't get homework.

What is the supporting evidence?: Because students use allot of their time on homework and can't get a lot of free time.

Is the evidence strong or weak? Why?: Strong because I included a lot of details.

What problems did European dictators promise to solve in the 1930's?
topjm [15]

Answer:

Totalitarianism

A totalitarian ruler leads a government that maintains complete control over every

part of public and private life of the citizens in that country. The economic problems

that resulted from World War I and the Depression led people to question

whether democratic government could improve their lives. Totalitarian

governments appeared to provide a sense of security and offered a

strong direction for the future.

Both Communism and Fascism used aspects of totalitarianism

as part of their governments. In general, both used dictators, only

allowed one political party, and denied many individual rights.

Police terror was used for control and to get rid of any opposition.

Controlling media sources (newspapers, television, radio etc.)

with propaganda and limiting what was reported helped influence

what people thought.
