I'm sorry for leaving a couple of answers blank, Spanish is my first language and this is all from my own knowledge. The cultural questions didn't make much sense to me, sorry! Anyways, I hope this helped.</span>

Hello David,
American and Ecuadorian cultures are extremely different! Here in Amercia we have lots of foods like pizza, hotdogs, and cheeseburgers. It is pretty different compared to your empanadas and cevieche. But they are all so good so don't be afraid to try anything new!
In America, our main sport is football but it's nothing like Ecuador's football. Here we call your "football" soccer! Which is your country's main sport. Bascketball and baseball are also very popular here. Sports are a huge part of our culture like it is yours! So make sure you bring a ball to play with at the park. Our main travel method is cars as well so you might want to make sure you bring enough money for a rental. You can also just purchase a bus pass if you can't drive due to the bus being the main form of travel in your country.
Finally, America has a huge population compared to Ecuador so make sure you bring face masks and gloves for safety in these trying times. Our country's demographics are mainly white Americans, African Americans, and Hispanics from Mexico. It's very diverse like Ecuador. Overall I know you'll really enjoy your stay here and make sure you're prepared for fall here!
-Sincerely,
YOURE NAME HERE
