Okay, The best way to figure is by reading the sentence aloud with a choice.

So when you put then in the blank space and you read the sentence out loud, it does not make sense. It sound weird. So you can rule D. out.

C. Okay, this is a trick answer. The fact that sentence 1 brings up a group before sentence 2, it rules out C.

B. Is also weird sounding in this sentence. Read the sentence out load with the word filling the blank. Trust me it will help narrow down your choices!

A. Is you answer!! The transition between each the sentences with another makes sense!

Catie is writing a research paper about Romeo and Juliet. In one source, she finds a quotation: "Romeo and Juliet seems to be th
Shtirlitz [24]

The correct answer is A. She should paraphrase it, because its exact wording is not creative or unique.

In research papers, quotations should be used very sparingly, and only used when a source contains a creative or unique point that can add a nice touch if added to a research paper. The sentence, "Romeo and Juliet seems to be the most popular of Shakespeare's plays" is neither creative nor unique, which is why Catie is better off paraphrasing it in her report rather than directly quoting it.

Mayoral Election Speech for Harold Marshall
lilavasa [31]

Answer: 2. They are unrealistic and are therefore unachievable.

Explanation:

Harold Marshall begins this speech by stating that he does have any idealistic promises that will magically fix the city. He states that he is simply a normal citizen and like the rest of the people has heard those promises before from previous mayoral candidates.

Explaining why he does not have such promises for the people, he states that every mayor that has promised them has receded into the annals of history without taking them any closer to the goals they promised. This paints a picture of a man who believes that those goals were unrealistic and by extension unachievable.
