DESCRIBE THE TONE roach uses as she writes about "yucky" foods

English

Roach's tone is playful and conversational. Although her piece is very informative, it does not come across as cut-and-dry facts, but rather is enjoyable to read. For example, when Roach lists the apparently "yucky" food she's already eaten, she pokes fun at herself, saying "I am, yes, one of those annoying travelers who boast about the disgusting food they've lived to tell about." This self-awareness makes Roach seem like she is speaking directly to you, and makes you want to continue having a conversation with her.

Answer:

I believe that the answer is A

Explanation:

it would be D, but the cat is not injured/harmed. It’s A, because trying to keep the small kitten alive is extremely challenging, and emotional, because as you can see in the text, he is immediately pack-bonded to the cat because of the death around him

Both Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s “Sonnet 14” and Pablo Neruda’s ‘Sonnet 17” discuss love in terms of negatives—things that are
Artist 52 [7]
Both Browning's and Neruda's sonnets present love as a feeling that should not cling to anything temporary or transient. They try to tell us what love is by telling us what it shouldn't be. Browning introduces the following negatives: smile, look, gentle manners, the need for comfort. She points out that these things may pass. Even though they are conventionally understood as signs of love, she wants something better and more stable than that. She wants to be loved for love's sake, as love is eternal.

For Neruda, on the other hand, love is something he can't describe by likening it to particular, specific, well-known things or feelings. It is indescribable and unknowable, and therefore indefinite. It escapes any kind of attempt to fixate it by connections to this world.

Why does the truth hurt?
UNO [17]

The truth hurts because it makes us confront something to which we've been in denial. Think about when you first entered the rehab or your first AA or NA meeting. You might have felt dejected, angry, ashamed or any number of other emotions. The truth can hurt because you feel exposed.
