A company decided to pass a policy banning cell phones on their property. A group of employees collected signatures to protest.

Many of the co-workers who signed the petition were later fired because the petition was deemed disruptive.
The employees sued the company, claiming their employer violated their constitutional rights. What is the likely outcome of this lawsuit?

1. The employees will win because the Constitution prevents them from being fired without due process.

2. The employees will win because the Constitution guarantees the right to speak freely on a cell phone.

3. The company will win because their employees were guilty of slander.

4. The company will win because the company is a private business and speech can have consequences.

3. Close reading: What does Cotton say that God will do for the foreign people
Damm [24]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Cotton said that God would do for the foreign people when they arrive in the new land was that God would help the Puritans by casting out the former inhabitants of the new land. Let's have in mind that the North American territories were already inhabited by many Native American Indian tribes that considered those territories as their lands, inherited by the ancestors.

John Cotton was one of the Puritan leaders that traveled to North America trying to find a new place to live and practice their strict religious teachings. He preached his people that God was going to help them settle in the new land and convince former inhabitants to accept the English Colonists.
