Europe means “wide gazing” or “broad of aspect”.
How did Europe get its name?
The country got its name from the Greek roots “eur” which literally means broad and “op-“meaning eye. In mythology, by the ancient Greek, Europa, a Phoenician princess was believed to be abducted by Zeus after assuming the form of a white bull. Later, according to the mythology, Europa stood for central-north Greece. By 500 BC, Europa had been extended to the northlands encompassing the lands of which is now called “Europe”.

The correct answer is B). Anaya structures his text as an explanation, which gives it an authoritative tone, while Nye structures her text as an impression, which gives it a soothing tone.

What is Tone?

This refers to the speaker's attitude as it is used in a literary text that also determines the general atmosphere (mood).

Hence, we can see that from the complete text, there is the narration that is used by both Anaya and Nye as they both make use of sentence structure to show an explanation and to make an impression, Option B.
