Nitrogen gas is introduced into a large deflated plastic bag. no gas is allowed to escape, but as more and more nitrogen is adde

d, the bag inflates to accommodate it. the pressure of the gas within the bag remains at 1.00 atm and its temperature remains at room temperature (20.0?c). how many moles n have been introduced into the bag by the time its volume reaches 22.4 l

Use the ideal gas equation: pV = nRT

=> n = RT / pV

R = 0.0821 atm*l / K*mol
T = 20 + 273.15 = 293.15 K
p = 1 atm
V = 22.4 l

=> n = 0.0821 atm*l / K*mol * 293.15K / (1atm * 22.4 l) = 1.07 mole

Answer: 1.07 mole

Describe the motion of a ball being thrown straight up in the air in terms of kinetic and potential energy. as the ball rises up
denis23 [38]
In your hand, the ball has higher potential energy than kinetic because it is still off of the ground but it isn't moving so there is no kinetic. As the ball rises, its potential and kinetic energy increases. At its peak, it has very high potential energy and very low kinetic energy. As it falls, the potential energy decreases but kinetic does not.

If a gas is initially at a pressure of 9 atm, a volume of 21 liters, and a temperature of 253 K, and then the pressure is raised
alex41 [277]

Answer:

15.04 mL

Explanation:

Using Ideal gas equation for same mole of gas as

\frac {{P_1}\times {V_1}}{T_1}=\frac {{P_2}\times {V_2}}{T_2}

Given ,

V₁ = 21 L

V₂ = ?

P₁ = 9 atm

P₂ = 15 atm

T₁ = 253 K

T₂ = 302 K

Using above equation as:

\frac {{P_1}\times {V_1}}{T_1}=\frac {{P_2}\times {V_2}}{T_2}

\frac {{9}\times {21}}{253}=\frac {{15}\times {V_2}}{302}

Solving for V₂ , we get:

<u>V₂ = 15.04 mL</u>
