This sentence can be complete with the word "meanwhile", because it is reflecting two simultaneous activities or actions. That is to say, Marco did something (chopped onions) when Maria did something else (prepared cheese plate). The other options are not used for this purpose.

It really embarrasses me when I meet someone new and that person is really shy and introvert! A month ago a friend of mine introduced his sister to me and she was so quite that she barely spoke.

The problem is, I was very shy as well and I didn’t feel comfortable telling too much about myself. I’d prefer to meet someone who I have less in common with, that is to meet someone who’s very talkative and extrovert so that I would feel more confident in introducing myself and sharing my thoughts.

What are the relation between gods and man in greek drama
MAVERICK [17]

The Ancient Greeks took their entertainment very seriously and used drama as a way of investigating the world they lived in, and what it meant to be human.

The three genres of drama were comedy, satyr plays, and most important of all, tragedy.

aleksley [76]
I honestly don't think there is anything positive about peer pressure, but maybe it could be positive if your peers are trying to make you do something good? Sorry, I'm not totally sure...

Have you ever read Elie Wiesel’s diary? Do you know who he is?
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]
What type of assignment is it? If it's an informational essay, you may want to tone down the emotion. If you are trying to write something creative, I like this, but you should probably use less exclamation points. Can you elaborate a bit on what type of assignment this is? I'd be able to give better feedback that way.
