Latin America is a predominantly Roman Catholic Religion. During the period between 1500 and 1800, the Catholic Church controlled all aspects of life in the Latin American colony from birth, marriage to death of all people. The church also controlled and owned most o the land in Latin America and further integrated commercial activities i.e., production of food, grape production, and weaving.
The church missionaries also had a duty to convert all the millions of natives in Latin America to Christianity which was daunting due to its significant cultural and linguistic differences.
