Empty set is a set with no element (the number of elements in the empty set is zero).
A set is subset set of another set B if it its elements belong also to subset B.
Because an empty set has no element its elements (there are none) belong to any set B. So the empty set is a subset of any set.
Example: Set A:The set of all people who can fly Set B:The set of all people.
There are no elements in the set A (no one has wings to fly), so set A is a subset of Set B.

Suppose A and B are dependent events. If P(A) = 0.5 and P(BIA) = 0.6, what is
klasskru [66]

If the probability of independent event A is 0.5, then P(A|B) will be 0.5. Then the correct option is B.

Which pair of events are called independent events?

When one event's occurrence or non-occurrence doesn't affect occurrence or non-occurrence of other event, then such events are called independent events.

Symbolically, we have:

Two events A and B are said to be independent iff we have:

P(A ∩ B) = P(A)P(B)

Comparing it with chain rule will give

P(A|B) = P(A)

P(B|A) = P(B)

Suppose A and B are dependent events.

If P(A) = 0.5

Then P(A|B) will be

P(A|B) = P(A)

P(A|B) = 0.5

Then the correct option is B.
