15. The speaker in the poem “Hanging Fire" is __(1 point)
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

15 - option A - A fourteen-year-old African American girl

16- option C- Sing the Negro National Anthem

Explanation:

The speaker of "Hanging Fire" is a fourteen year old girl, the poem is not very specific though, it can be taking place anywhere. The speaker jumps between topics a lot, but mainly she is worried about teenager stuff, and the other more impotant stuff in her life: death.

Henry Reed change the tone of the graduation ceremony when he, after he has delivered his address to the class, started singing the "Negro National Anthem" (it was banned from being sung at public events) Anyway, people join Henry voice and started singing as well.

comment on the following statements:students don't need teachers. They can learn foreign languages on their own
mezya [45]
True, students can learn foreign language on their own with the amount of resources we have in our phones, laptops, etc. But, teachers are also incredibly useful by giving workbooks, worksheets, quizzes and also being there to help pronunciation of the language, and it helps by having a real person for students to talk to.

Read these sentences from paragraph 4.
sesenic [268]

The language of these sentences makes an effective closing to Bingham's argument because: C. Words like "duty" and "nation" call upon the audience's higher values in the matter of Hawaii.

What is an Argument?

An argument is the position a person takes on a matter. In this excerpt, Bingham used pathos to appeal to the people's sense of duty towards their nation. This will help them realize that if they failed to act on the matter, they will be doing something wrong.

This is an effective conclusion because it gives the people a cogent reason to act on the matter being discussed.
