What is the tense of the underlined verb in the sentence?

English
1 answer:
kondaur [170]3 years ago

We can't see which is underlined but I'm assuming it's hid based on the question. It's B) Past. The reason is that hid refers to something he has already done. So it's in the past. And past perfect means that the wording is a bit more complex. It would only be past perfect if it said 'The mouse had hidden under there before." so they have two words saying it's hid there, had and hidden.

Hope this helps!

What are some similarities between the hobbit and the hunger games novels?
natta225 [31]
The Hobbit and Hunger Games are similar in a way that the type of conflict is person vs self. The Hobbit clearly shows greed to be a big issue and the person who wears it carries the ring suffers great temptation. In the Hunger Games it’s every child for themselves. They fight to survive and they must deal with the grief and guilt of fighting and killing another person. In both novels the main characters fight a battle within themselves. Another similarity is that both main characters are trying to destroy “society”. Catniss is trying to stop the Hunger Games, Frodo is trying to destroy the ring. Both the games and the ring are the main cause of the conflict.
