Mathematics

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

some rules of logarithmic function

ln(a) - ln(b)=ln(\frac{a}{b})

e^{ln(a)}=a

ln(a)^{n}=nln(a) vice-versa nln(a)=ln(a)^{n}

If ㏑(a) = ㏑(b), then a = b

∴ 2ln(e^{ln(2x)})-ln(e^{ln(10x)})=ln(30)

Use the 2nd rule to simplify it

e^{ln(2x)}=2x\\e^{ln(10x)}=10x\\

2㏑(2x) - ㏑(10x) = ㏑(30)

Use the 3rd rule in the 1st term

∵ 2㏑(2x) = ㏑(2x)² = ㏑(4x²)

∴ ㏑(4x²) - ㏑(10x) = ㏑(30)

- Use the 1st rule with the left hand side

ln(4x^{2})-ln(10x)=ln(\frac{4x^{2}}{10x})\\\\ln(\frac{4x^{2}}{10x})=ln(30)\\\\ \frac{4x^{2}}{10x}=\frac{2x}{5}=\frac{2}{5}x\\\\ ln(\frac{2}{5}x)=ln(30)

Use the 4th rule

\frac{2}{5} x = 30

Multiply both sides by 5

∴ 2 x = 150

- Divide both sides by 2

∴ x = 75

The value of x = 75

8) Jennifer has a collection of 1,600 coins. Of the coins, 40% are dated
Kitty [74]
<h3>Answer:  400  (choice A)</h3>

==============================================

Explanation:

40% + 35% = 75% of the coins were either made before 1940, or made from 1940 to 1980. In other words, 75% of the coins were minted before 1980. This leaves 100% - 75% = 25% of the coins to being minted after 1980.

25% of 1600 = 0.25*1600 = 400 coins were made after 1980

What is 70/360 in percentage
defon

Answer:

About 19.45%

Step-by-step explanation:

First set the fraction equal to x over 100 ———- (70/360)=(x/100)

cross multiply———- 70 * 100 = 7000            360 * x = 360x

solve for x —————- 7000=360x

                                   7000/360= 19.44444444

Round ——- x=19.45

OR

Divide fraction ———— 70/360 = 0.1944444444

Next, convert to percentage by moving decimal 2 places to the right ——

019.44444444

Round ————- = 19.45
