If someone is seein information from one side, they may be more persuaded to believe what that side is saying, especially if the other side does not provide a persuasive argument or stance. If someone is watching something and it focuses on one side of the story without evidence from the other side, they will most likely tend to believe that side. Malala writes about the social normalities of her culture and how it was not very strict before the Taliban emerged in their valley. Women especially became very oppressed and had to enter Purdah, wear hijabs whenever in public, and were encouraged to not go to school. All westernized media, clothes and games were banned, anyone who did not follow the law would be shot.
