that Kelvin was creative in solving the problem of having no batteries?
English

The answer would be D. "Yet, he figured out how to make a battery using soda, metal, and tape."

This shows that Kelvin was creative in solving the problem of having no batteries because he found a way to create his own with rather strange items. Most people wouldn't think to create anything with those three items, which shows that this creation took extra creativity on Kelvin's part.

Why is the sorceress Gayelette angry with the winged monkeys?
QveST [7]

One day, just before the wedding, the mischievous Winged Monkeys who lived nearby tossed Quelala into a river as a prank. Gayelette was very angry and punished the Winged Monkeys by making them three times the slaves to the owner of the Golden Cap. After the wedding, Quelala commanded them never to bother Gayelette again, and it can be presumed that she and her husband lived happily ever after.

Which statement best explains why Mr. Whymper serves as an intermediary for Animal Farm? He is motivated by a desire for power.
balu736 [363]

Answer: He is motivated by financial success.

Explanation:

In George Orwell's Animal Farm, the animals rebel against their human farmer.

Mr. Whymper is a human solicitor hired by Napoleon as an Animal Farm representative. He initiates the interaction between Animal Farm and the society, and is the first human the pigs interact with after the Rebellion.

Whymper is described as "a sly-looking man with side whiskers, a solicitor [lawyer] in a very small way of business, but sharp enough to have realized earlier than anyone else that Animal Farm would need a broker and that the commissions would be worth having" (6.9). This means that Whymper understands that he can earn a lot of money from this job, which is why he acts as an intermediary in the first place.
