Answer:

Hope this helps you

Explanation:

With the onset of the bitter winter cold, the Continental Army under General George Washington, still in the field, enters its winter camp at Valley Forge, 22 miles from British-occupied Philadelphia. Washington chose a site on the west bank of the Schuylkill River that could be effectively defended in the event of a British attack.

During 1777, Patriot forces under General Washington suffered major defeats against the British at the battles of Brandy wine and German-town; Philadelphia, the capital of the United States, fell into British hands. The particularly severe winter of 1777-1778 proved to be a great trial for the American army, and of the 11,000 soldiers stationed at Valley Forge, hundreds died from disease. However, the suffering troops were held together by loyalty to the Patriot cause and to General Washington, who stayed with his men. As the winter stretched on, Prussian military adviser Frederick von Steuben kept the soldiers busy with drills and training in modern military strategy.

When Washington’s army marched out of Valley Forge on June 19, 1778, the men were better disciplined and stronger in spirit than when they had entered. Nine days later, they won a victory against the British under Lord Cornwallis at the Battle of Monmouth in New Jersey.

Why is Leonardo da Vinci known as a “Renaissance Man?”
rusak2 [61]
Leonardo da Vinci was known as a "Renaissance Man" because he contributed to it. He encouraged the new way of thinking and helped compute the many scientifical advancements during the Renaissance Period. He was a big believer in proving ideas and concepts with science, and not just letting the Roman Catholic Chruch control his beliefs and the science behind it. He had a big role in the Enlightenment.

So, I would say "C" is the best answer. His interests de coincide with many Renaissance happenings and beliefs.

I hope this helps!

According to the establishment clause, how would displaying a "Happy Holidays” sign in class be viewed?
Mazyrski [523]

Correct answer choice is :

B) The display does not violate the clause because it is secular.

Explanation:

Though the Constitution explicitly prohibits an organized government religion, each year during the holiday season, we see the necessary cooperation between government and religion. Almost every school and classroom has a holiday display, as do most cities. It has been shown that following the holiday season in such a fashion is a form of governmental assistance for religion. The opposite case is that government impartiality does not mean that government must be an hostility toward religion.

The Analects of Confucius"" Primary Source box. What are some of Confucius’ ideas? List some below.
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

Confucius did not teach a religion nor a way to obtain salvation.

Explanation:

The Analects of Confucius was 20 books, each generally featuring a series of chapters that encompass quotes from Confucius, which were compiled by his disciples after his death. The basic teachings were about how one should conduct themselves based on Confucius’ recount of events in his life. The writings mentions different disciplines to practice to achieve a moral and virtuous path in life. I think Confucius was supremely gifted at explaining profound common sense. Conversely, I think the structure of how he presented the books seemed haphazard and disorganized and hard to understand in total. From an academic standpoint there is more disagreement than agreement over how best to translate and represent the text for a modern reading audience.
