The correct answer is 6

The answer is 36. I could not find an explanation. I guess they took point C where it intersects with 2 shifts and 6 college classes so 6 x 6 hours per week needed =36 for the answer. I know for sure the answer is not just 6 and quizlet says 36 as the answer.

elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Question Completion:

During April, the production department of a process manufacturing system completed a number of units of a product and transferred them to finished goods. Of these transferred units, 60,000 were in process in the production department at the beginning of April.

Answer:

1. The number of units transferred to the Finished Goods Inventory is 218,000.

2. Number of equivalent units with respect to materials and conversion:

Materials = 305,600

Conversion = 264,600

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

                                              Materials Conversion

Beginning inventory 60% 40%

Units completed before 36,000 24,000

Units completed now 24,000 36,000

Equivalent units of production:

Started and completed 240,000 240,000

Ending inventory (82,000 units) 80% 30%

= 65,600 24,600

Total equivalent unit 305,600 264,600

The number of units transferred to finished:

Beginning inventory units 60,000

Units started and completed 240,000

Total units available 300,000

less Ending inventory units 82,000

Units transferred out 218,000

b) Using the weighted-average method, the equivalent units of production are equal to the units started and completed plus the units of ending inventory based on the degree of completion.

Assuming that the total manufacturing costs are $3,400,000, compute the cost of goods manufactured using the information below.
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

c. $ 3,409,000

Explanation:

Computation of cost of goods manufactured

The cost of goods manufactured is calculated by adjusting the opening and closing work in process balances to the total manufacturing input

Total manufacturing input $ 3,400,000

Add: Opening work in process $ 27,000

Less: Closing work in process $ ( 18,000)

Cost of goods manufactured $ 3,409,000

The cost of goods manufactured is determined by the total of the input and adding the differnce in opening and closing work in process balances.

Find the total cost, rounded to the nearest cent, of 3.9 pounds of corned beef at $5.49 per pound and 4.6 pounds of pastrami at
Vanyuwa [196]

Answer: $44.18

Explanation:

Given the following :

Cost of corned beef per pound = $5.49

Cost of pastrami per pound = $4.95

Pound of corned beef = 3.9 pounds

Pound of pastrami = 4.6 pounds

Therefore ;

Total cost = (cost per pound × number of pound)

Total Cost of corned beef = 3.9 × $5.49 = $21.411

Total cost of pastrami = 4.6 × $4.95 = $22.77

Total cost of corned beef and pastrami :

$21.411 + $22.77 = $44.181

$44.18

The following static budget is provided: Units 22,000 Units Sales $ 220,000 Less variable costs: Manufacturing costs $ 77,000 Se
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

$43,064

Explanation:

Sales $220,000 / 22,000 × 20,000

$200,000

Variable costs $77,000 / 22,000 × 20,000

($63,636)

Selling and admin $50,600 / 22,000 × 20,000

($46,000)

Manufacturing cost fixed

($26,400)

Selling and admin fixed

($20,900)

Net income

$43,064

Therefore, budgeted net income will equal $43,064 if 20,000 units are produced and sold.
