The new technologies had great impact on the development of industry in the Gilded Age; it was a time where America became more prosperous due to rapid economic growth, there were great changes in industry and developments in technology.  It was, in many ways, the culmination of the <em>Industrial Revolution</em>; for it allowed emerging technology and inventions helped and affected many businesses by finding new ways to do the daily tasks more efficiently, for example.
