Answer:

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants take sunlight, carbon dioxide and water to produce more complex molecules such as glucose and oxygen. This process is carried out cellularly in the chloroplasts. Chloroplasts are formed by thylakoid membranes where pigments such as chlorophyll are found. Chlorophyll is the pigment that captures the photons of light and activates the entire photosynthetic system through the excitation of an electron.

Explain in detail how high blood sugar and high blood pressure demonstrate a positive feedback loop.
Inga [223]

Platelet aggregation and accumulation in response to injury is an example of positive feedback. Negative feedback brings a system back to its level of normal functioning. Adjustments of blood pressure, metabolism, and body temperature are all negative feedback.

The control of blood sugar (glucose) by insulin is a good example of a negative feedback mechanism. When blood sugar rises, receptors in the body sense a change. In turn, the control center (pancreas) secretes insulin into the blood effectively lowering blood sugar levels.

Examples of processes that utilize negative feedback loops include homeostatic systems, such as: Thermoregulation (if body temperature changes, mechanisms are induced to restore normal levels) Blood sugar regulation (insulin lowers blood glucose when levels are high ; glucagon raises blood glucose when levels are low)

Organic amendments will improve soil aeration and drainage and promote robust populations of root damaging soil bacteria and fun
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer16: False

Comments: The organic amendments (manure, bio-solid, wood ash, compost grass clipping etc.) improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. It also supplies the essential nutrients needed for plant growth. It can also support the beneficial bacterial growth in the soil but not enhance the growth of harmful microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) in the soil.
