Model penal code is a document that attempts to standardize criminal laws across states.

Explanation:

Model penal code is the set of rules framed for the US state legislature and it contains the law abiding to standardize the penal law and it helps to stimulate and assist the state legislature. Many states in US adopted the model penal code but not to the fullest. The description of the criminal cases and the way they deal it include arresting of the suspects the information is gathered and then it is held in the court for hearing.

The elements of the model penal code include purposely, knowingly, recklessly, negligently and strict liability. The cases are held upon and many of them are investigated. The major criticism among the people is the death penalty and the crime level of death penalty must be reduced. Since most of the states in US do not follow all the penal codes standardization is required to make it available for all the states to be implemented.
