It was Rosa Parks or letter a. A seamstress and secretary for the NAACP, she once rode on a bus driven by a man named James Blake who told her to go into the back door only to leave her behind. She again encountered Blake who ordered the black passengers to vacate their seats to accommodate the white commuters. She was only one who refused and was later arrested. The court fined her $10 plus $4 for court fees. This started the boycott of segregation against the transit system.
