City University is eager to attract new students. One strategy the university has chosen to attract new students is to demonstra

te to prospective students the happiness of its current students (operationally defined as how the students rated their satisfaction with various services offered by the university on a scale of 1–10). The university officials designed a survey asking about student happiness and sent the survey via e-mail to 25 percent of City University students with equal distributions of students in each class (first-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors).
University officials used the results of the study to try to attract new students by stating that attending City University for longer periods of time increases student happiness.
* Evaluate the appropriateness of the university officials’ conclusion that being at City University longer makes students happier.

Answer:

In developing objective knowledge about any areas or fields, it is important to use scientific method, which uses a form of analysis, experimentation, observation.

For this question given, the City University used a scientific investigation to approve or to know that if their students where all happy during their time in the University.

The results should that the first year student's were not happy as compared to the senior students, this was because the senior students from their findings had stayed a longer period of time.

Explanation:

To create objective knowledge about any area it is very necessary to apply the scientific method. The scientific method uses analysis, observation, measurement,  and experimentation to acquire objective data to approve the general knowledge and hypotheses .

In this example, the City University implemented a scientific investigation to confirm that its students were happy during their the time in the university. For the investigation, they made use of  an instrument that assesses satisfaction.

The results showed that the senior-students were happier than the first-year students, for that the university officials gathered that the students are happier when they attend university for a longer period. This is a better way  attract new students and not change to another study center.

3) Ai x Bi. Across the top there is a large A and an i. Across the side is a B and an i. At the spot both A and B meet, you have AB, where A and i meet you have Ai, B and i meet at Bi, and i and i meet for ii. Ratio is 25% AB, 25% Bi, 25% Ai, 25% ii.
4) ii x AB. Across the side is i on both, and on top is A and B. Both under A in the boxes would be Ai and both under B would be Bi. Ratio is 50% Ai, 50% Bi.
5) AB x AB. Across the top is A then B and down the side is A and B. Where the As meet is AA, where the Bs meet is BB, and where A and B meet is AB. Ratio is 50% AB, 25% AA, 25% BB.
6) Alice has Ai and Mark has Bi. On the square, across the top first is an A and second is an i, and down first is B second i. In the boxes where A and B combine is AB, where A and i combine is Ai, B and i is BI, and i and i is ii.
