Punctuation is what we should analyze in these sentences. Taking into consideration that there are two punctuation marks, colons and semicolons, that go <u>outside the quotation marks</u>, the sentence that is written correctly is:

C. Greg said they would give the drummer “one last chance”; I think they should look for a new drummer.

In this case, the quotes mark off the phrase<em> one last chance</em>, and the semicolon is placed outside them.
