I'm assuming

f(x)=\dfrac x{\cot x+3}

By the quotient rule, the derivative f'(x) is

\dfrac{(\cot x+3)(x)'-x(\cot x+3)'}{(\cot x+3)^2}=\dfrac{(\cot x+3)(1)-x(-\csc^2x)}{(\cot x+3)^2}=\dfrac{x\csc^2x+\cot x+3}{(\cot x+3)^2}

What is (c+d) to the power of 3
goblinko [34]

Answer:

c³ + cd³ + 3c²d + 3cd²

Step-by-step explanation:

(c+d)^3 is worded as <em>c plus d quantity cubed</em> which doesn't mean you cube everything inside. It means you multiply the quantity by itself 3 times.

(c+d)(c+d)(c+d)

<em>You can only multiply 2 at a time so do the first two then the result and the third one.</em>

<em>Distribute everything in one quantity to the other so </em><em>c*c = c^2 and c*d = cd</em>

= (c^2 + 2cd + d^2)(c+d)

= c^3 + c^2d + 2c^2d + 2cd^2 + cd^2 + cd^3

<em>Combine like terms</em>

= c³ + 3c²d + 3cd² + cd³

Look at the figure shown below: Which step should be used to prove that point A is equidistant from points C and B?
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

Combine points A with C and A with B. Consider ΔABD and ΔACD:

1. AD is common side, then  AD\cong AD;

2.   CD\cong BD  - given in the diagram;

3.  \angle ADB\cong \angle ADC .

By SAS Postulate,  \triangle ABD\cong \triangle ACD . Congruent triangles have congruent corresponding sides and congruent corresponding angles, so  AC\cong AB .

From this proof you can see that correct choice is option D (In triangles ABD and ACD, two sides and an included angle are equal.)
