Diagonal of the left triangle = ((8)^2+(7)^2)^0.5= (113)^0.5
x =( 12^2 -(113)^0.5)^2))^0.5=( 144- 113)^0.5= (31)^0.5= 5.57

For ur working, ur mistake lies in the line : x^2+12^2=10.6^2
It shld be 12^2= x^2+10.6^2

To add on to what he said, remember that the hypotenuse (c in the Pythagorean Theorem) is ALWAYS the longest of a right triangle!

Using either the critical value rule or the p-value rule, if a one-sided null hypothesis is rejected at a given significance lev
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In hypothesis testing if p value < alpha i.e. our significance level we reject null hypothesis

Consider for example, 95% confidence level is taken, and p value one tailed is 0.026. Since p <0.05, We reject null hypothesis

p value two tailed is twice p value for one tailed.  Hence p value two tailed =0.052.

Since p value >0.05 our alpha.  So in this case, null hypothesis will be accepted

Hence sometimes it would be rejected and sometimes it would be accepted

Using either the critical value rule or the p-value rule, if a one-sided null hypothesis is rejected at a given significance level, then the corresponding two-sided null hypothesis (i.e., the same sample size, the same standard deviation, and the same mean) need not  ______________ be rejected at the same significance level.

What is the greatest common divisor of 33489, 3948, and 3949
storchak [24]

33489 = 32×612

3948 = 22×3×7×47

3949 = 11×359

GCD = 1

33489 / 1 = 33489

3948 / 1 = 3948

3949 / 1 = 3949

Given triangle MNP is isosceles and the two base angles are 6yº and (8y - 16)º. What is the measure of each base angle? (Hint: S
zvonat [6]
Two angles are equals.

Suppose they are 6y.

Then 6y + 6y + 8y - 16 = 180
20y = 180 +16
20y = 196
y = 9.8

Then one base angle is 6*9.8 = 58.8°

And the other base angle is 8(9.8) - 16 = 62.4.

Now suppose that the two equal angles are 8 y -16

Then 8y -1 6 + 8y - 16 + 6y = 180

Then 16y - 32 = 180

16y = 180 + 32
16y = 212
y = 13.25

One angle is 6(13.25) = 79.5

And the other is 8(13.25) - 16 = 90

This last solution is imposible.

So the answer is 58.8 and 62.4
