The Western Theatre of the Civil War refers to the military operations that took place in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee. Prohibition did more harm than good. Some people who made their entire life savings from alcohol production were then bankrupted and with no job.  Then, many mobs formed that made illegal alcohol and gangsters like: Al Capone started selling illegal alcohol (sort of like illegal drugs today).
