Answer:

Hi! You can find the answers below in the 'explanation' section.

Explanation:

1. By inserting a flashback at a critical moment, the writer prolongs the moment and  adds to the suspense. Also, it serves to reveal a hidden side of Cornelia’s personality (shyness).

2. We learn that Cornelia and Bonnie have been friends since the sixth grade, and that Bonnie encouraged Cornelia to overcome her shyness.

3. for the writer to provide the reader with the same information without the use of the flashback, the writer could describe Cornelia’s mixed feelings about Bonnie. However, the description would not be as effective as aflashback, as it would not provide a vivid example of Bonnie’s influence on Cornelia’s past behavior.

________ of language leads to meaning. a. Interpretation b. Bypass c. Communication d. Understanding
kenny6666 [7]

Answer:

A). Interpretation.

Explanation:

Interpretation is illustrated as the act or process of deriving and explaining the meaning of the language(unfamiliar or obscure) employed by the author in order to understand the text. By decoding the meaning of the text-only one can attempt to understand, assess, and evaluate a text in different contexts and thereby, reaching a conclusion or judgment.

As per the question, 'interpretation' of language would only lead to infer the meaning of the words and language employed by the author which could propose either denotative or connotative meaning depending on the context and author's intentions(purpose) behind the use of language and creation of the work. Thus, <u>option A</u> is the correct answer.

Vladimir [108]
<span>The correct answer to your questions would be the option B) The traveler. Why are we sure about it? Because the poem starts with these lines "I met a traveller from an antique land", and after that we see that he begins to speak, in the second line "Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone"</span>
