It will take them 3/4 of an hour together.

Camille can mop and vacuum 1/2 of the house per hour.
Lawrence can mop and vacuum 1/2 of the house per hour.
Gaston can mop and vacuum 1/3 of the house per hour.

Working at this rate for x amount of time, they can all three complete 100% of the job:

1/2x+1/2x+1/3x=1

Combining like terms,
1 1/3x = 1
3/3x + 1/3x = 1
4/3x = 1

Divide both sides by 4/3:
4/3x÷4/3 = 1÷4/3
x = 1/1÷4/3
x = 1/1×3/4
x = 3/4

"Exponential Functions" Please respond to the following: Explain how exponential functions can model both phenomena that grow an
andrew11 [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Exponential functions grow at the fastest rate because the function increase or decrease in a power form.

for example, "2 raised x "means that when ever the power increase the number gets large and the same for decrements.

example: when x=1 it becomes 2

                         x=2                    4

                         x=3                     8

                        .

                        .

                        x=n                   2∧n which a very big number.

In the same case it decreases dramatically if the power is negative or the number is improper fraction with positive number exponent; like (3/4)∧x,2∧-x when x is positive real number.

The similarities of both trend is that the change is the same both decrease or increase in similar scenario.

the difference is already known that one goes up with out bound but the one which decays goes down ward both with limitation and in unlimited cases.

The Pythagorean Theorem applies to all right angle triangles. Therefore if you substitute the numbers, it should work out.

Pythagorean Theorem: a^2+b^2=c^2

Does 8^2+15^2=17^2?

8 squared plus 15 squared is 289. 17 squared is 289. Therefore #1 is a right triangle.

5^2+8^2=11^2

89 doesn’t equal 121 so #2 is not a right angle triangle

Which equation has a graph parallel to the graph of 9x+3y=-22
MArishka [77]

Solution:

3y = -9x - 22

y = -3x - 22/3

The graph parallel to this graph (9x + 3y = -22) should have a gradient of -3

In the choices above i.e A,B,C & D there is not a single equation with a gradient equal to -3.
