The sons of liberty were just colonists who didn't like the unfair taxation that the British imposed on them. You've probably heard of the Boston tea party, right? Well, the Sons of Liberty were responsible for that. You’ve also probably heard of Benedict Arnold, Samuel Adams and Paul Revere. All of them were members at one time. Without the Sons of Liberty, American colonists would've never stood up to the British, and America would still be a colony
